Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year!

Fröhliche Weihnachten und ein glückliches Neues Jahr! ('Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year' in German)

Easily my most favourite day of the year (even better than my Birthday), Christmas Day is just fantastic! I had a great day, melon-balling away at a bloody big watermelon, scooping out all the flesh, making a fancy Punch bowl for our nice Punch (obviously). Turned out pretty bloody good too as you'll see in the picture to the right.

Both my PS3s, and both computers are churning away, folding for Christmas! Our Team has had a very good year as far as our ranking progress goes. I'll try and give a bit of a report on 2009 early in January, as well as trying to keep a monthly update going on how Aussie Rules Footy is going.

Anyways, hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and hope yous have a Happy New Year. Let us know what ya did today and plan on doing tomorrow on Boxing Day and for New Year's etc. by leaving us a comment. It'd be nice to here some little stories from our team members ;)

Corey_PS3 has racked up his 2nd Points Milestone, this time for 2,000!

Joining just over a week ago, Corey_PS3 has returned 9 work units so far for a total of 2,259 points. He sits 44th on the team (sorry I was a bit late to load the individual stats so i could not get rank out of all-time folders). Well done mate ;)

New Team Member - magic

Our old mate magicgate3 has attempted to start folding again on his PS3, but has obviously left off the 'gate3' on the end of his name and therefore created a New Team Member - magic in the process! Haha

Not that it's a big deal, like i do like our team stats page as tidy as possible, but sometimes these things just happen. Also magicgate3 has over 15,000 points to his name, so he would naturally want to keep folding under that original name. I've asked him if he's got a computer, he can maybe fold under magic with that ;)

magic has 1 work unit returned for 251 points, sits 76th on the team and 974,675th out of 1,327,178 all-time folders.

Attention PS3 folders - Life with PlayStation Update 1.20 released

For all the team members that fold on their PlayStation 3s - There is an update available for the Life with PlayStation software (which contains the Folding@Home Channel).

Version 1.20 adds some cool little features, enabling streaming video playback inside the United Village Channel, photo slideshows support and adds an exclusive Channel for users from the United States - PlayStation Network Game Trailers (lucky buggers).

The PlayStation Network Game Trailers Channel allows you to watch game trailers one after the other continuously, playing back 'gapless'. You can view more information about the games, and even purchase the games without having to leave Life with PlayStation!

If you live outside the US and you're only interested in the Folding@Home Channel, then take advantage of Folding@Home Expert Mode which was included in the 1.10 Update. Instructions: Navigate to [General Settings] -> [Folding@Home Priority] and select [Expert]. Whilst in this mode, no other Channels can be accessed and all available processing power for Life with PlayStation will be directed to the Folding@Home Channel, giving a minor speed boost to the folding process ;)

New Team Member - BooBy67_PS3

UPDATE (12:44 AM, Friday, December 18, 2009): Just included more information about where BooBy67_PS3 comes from. END OF UPDATE

The New Team Members just keep coming, with BooBy67_PS3 joining today!

From Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, I actually met BooBy67_PS3 through playing Resistance 2 online on the PS3, and had sent a message asking him if he wanted to join up. If you haven't picked up on it, this means he's obviously folding with his PS3.

Returning 1 work unit so far for the PS3-average 251 points, he sits 77th on the team and 973,660th out of 1,325,852 all-time folders. Thanks for joining champ ;)

Points Milestone - Corey_PS3 - 1k

Joining up only yesterday, Corey_PS3 has already passed the 1,000 Points Milestone!

Sure, the PlayStation 3 has a 1,000 PPD production capacity, so it's simply a matter of keeping it going for the whole first day of folding, but his initial efforts should still be applauded.

So, sitting on 1,004 points from 4 work units, Corey_PS3 is positioned 55th on the team and 675,228th out of 1,324,536 all-time folders. Great stuff mate ;)

Yesterday it was Corey_PS3, today his alter ego (his computer) - Corey_PC is our New Team Member!

Having returned 1 work unit so far, he's scored 119 points and places him 84th on the team and 1,086,870th out of 1,324,536 all-time folders. Nice effort mate.

Corey_PS3 is our latest New Team Member!

Just like fallinfantasie_ps3, Corey_PS3 lives in the United States, just more south though in White Springs, Florida. He joined Aussie Rules Footy because I invited him through YouTube (his profile - blobloblo6), but he is really keen to get folding.

Folding on his PlayStation 3 (obviously), Corey_PS3 has returned 2 work units already for 502 points, and sits 66th on the team and 833,375 out of 1,324,066 all-time folders. Great stuff mate, keep it up ;)

Internationally located, fallinfantasie_ps3 is from New Jersey, USA and is keen to get his PS3 churning out work units. Unfortunately though he's had a bit of trouble with work units and their deadlines, so his initial score is pretty much the lowest you can get, other than 0! lol oh well, he's giving it a go which is great!

Sitting on 1 point from 2 work units, he's positioned 86th on the team, and 1,250,847th out of 1,323,197 all-time folders. Keep folding champ ;)

Delta_Leviathan has passed the 200 Work Units Milestone!

Delta_Leviathan has been folding on his PS3 (as mentioned in Delta_Leviathan_PC's join post), maxing out it's daily production (1,000 PPD) for the atleast the last fortnight.

Sitting on 35,757 points from 201 work units, he's positioned 19th on the team and 135,532nd out of 1,321,399 all-time folders. Well done mate, keep up the good work ;)

We have a New Team Member! BullenAnt1 is their name, however I suspect this is simply a typo made by an older team member in an effort to get folding again (BulleenAnt1).

If you are BullenAnt1/BulleenAnt1 reading this, then unfortunately when names are misspelt and don't match up to existing names and a work unit is returned under that silly looking second name, it can't be deleted, nor can the work units/points credit be moved to the correct name. Please contact me though - lahmyaj@gmail.com, because i'd like to have a chat and thank ya for joining up and for your contribution to our team. If this was done by someone in an attempt to hijack BulleenAnt1's name and their points, then please pick another name to fold under because that would not be cool and is the exact reason passkeys were introduced in v6 folding clients.
