Aussie Rules Footy is now in the Top 1,000 Folding@Home Teams!

Our team, Aussie Rules Footy is now finally apart of the Top 1,000 Folding@Home teams.

It has taken quite a while to enter this territory, as it's really competitive out there amongst all the teams. At the end of May earlier this year, we had just broken into the top 2,000 teams. Being apart of the top 1,000 is a real achievement for a team participating in this Project. But it's one thing to break in, it's another to stay in there, and keep pushing up the stats! So guys I want to thank you all very much for your efforts so far and I hope we can keep churning out more work units and making more an more points, pushing us further up the team rankings.

I am hoping by this time next year, we're atleast a top 500 team!

Points Milestone - Aussie Rules Footy - 500k

Aussie Rules Footy has just cracked the 500,000 points milestone!!!

Building strongly since November 2006, the team now sits inside the top 2,000 teams for all-time. Pretty impressive when you consider there is now over 125,000 teams! Exact position - 1,916th of 125,628 teams, with 2,411 work units returned, total of 501,636 points rewarded.

The 1,000,000 point milestone should be less than 12 months away now, with much more points being churned out from some more 'active' folders in the team. Team PPD (Points Per Day) figures now average atleast 2,000 PPD with regular figures of 3,000 PPD.

Hopefully recruitment wise we can get a couple of SMP client-running members, and possibly some GPU folders for some big PPD figures. More and more active folders would be the biggest help though, and hopefully some come on board or start back up for us. I wouldn't mind putting together some sort of 2nd Team Birthday recruitment drive in November. We'll see how we go.
