Points Milestone - Ugly - 100k

Ugly has passed the 100,000 Points Milestone!

Now moving up into the 100k Points Major Milestone Club, Ugly is a vital team member, that has made a great contribution since joining.

Using his Mac and PS3 to fold, he's currently sitting 7th on the team, with 107,833 points earned from 133 work units. He also stands 43,789th out of 1,161,702 all-time folders.

Well done to Ugly on his achievement!

Points Milestone - peterdiva - 100k

Our latest member to conquer the 100,000 points milestone - peterdiva!

He jumps up a category in the Major Milestone Club as our 6th team member to achieve the 100k points mark. Only joining in late September, he's become a vital team member for Aussie Rules Footy, producing heaps of points in only a short time. Only problem is, I still haven't been able to get in contact with the guy to thank him!

As i've mentioned before, he seems to be running a mix of an SMP client and a regular PC, single-core client, churning out about 2,000 PPD. Not too shabby I say!

So currently he's positioned 6th on the team leaderboard and 45,069th out of 1,151,601 all-time folders. This is a result of his 101,587 points contribution from 156 work units. Well done mate!

Points Milestone - Lahm_Family_PS3 - 100k

My 2nd Playstation 3 - Lahm_Family_PS3 is the 5th team member to achieve the 100,000 points milestone! Thus moving up a category in the Major Milestone Club.

Joining the team in late August, I was hoping to gain atleast 100k points by the end of the year, so i'm very happy it's achieved that. Pretty much folding 24/7 (with only occassional power outages and a bit of music playing in between), it wasn't overly hard to achieve. Now I want to set a target of 300,000 points by 27 August 2009.. which would mean a tidy 300k points per year.

Currently on 100,383 points from 343 work units, it's sits 5th on the team leaderboard, and 45,147th out of 1,147,479 all-time folders. No doubt i'll keep her folding as much as possible!

Points Milestone - Jens_Klausen - 100k

Jens_Klausen has now past the 100,000 points milestone, bumping himself up a notch in the Team Member Major Milestones Club!

Joining the team less than two months ago, Jens_Klausen has been making over 50,000 points / month! Just goes to show that GPU folding pays... pays very well! Haha thats points-wise anyways.. as for the science of Folding@Home, it's still important to have a range of different clients complimenting each other. For example, GPU clients lack flexibility in the type of work they can 'fold', whereas CPU clients have the most flexibility, but are obviously a lot less powerful. PS3s sit somewhere in between. So team members, if your not getting heaps of points for your work.. don't worry, it's all helping out!

So anyway, Jens_Klausen is now on exactly 101,720 points from just 217 work units. He's currently 4th on the team leaderboard, and sitting 42,275th out of 1,121,283 all-time folders. Awesome achievement mate!

Points Milestone - RoXeD - 100k

We now have two Canadian team members who have passed the milestone for 100,000 points, this time its RoXeD!

Ravenge5 being the other one, these guys both run computers also, but under different names.
RoXeD is also mikael. Ravenge5 is also Ravenge... which is more of an obvious one lol. They both have dual-core computers which means they can double their output compared to us single-core people.. lucky!

So anyway, now RoXeD has 100,792 points from 424 work units. Sitting solidly in 3rd spot on the Team Leaderboard, he sits 40,043rd out of 1,092,028 all-time folders. Great stuff mate.

Recently achieved Milestones

Just as of yesterday Aussie Rules Footy achieved a team-ranking milestone for moving into the top 2,000 teams of all-time, which is a pretty good effort considering there is now over 120,000 teams listed in the official stats.

Back on the 18th May, the team actually achieved a milestone for Work Units, returning over 2,000 WUs since the team started back in November 2006.

It will not be long now before the team reaches a points milestone of 500,000. We're folding at a rate of ~2,000PPD (points per day) and will be very happy to see such a milestone achieved.

Going about a month back on the 29th April, my Playstation 3 - smASHer88_PS3 which pretty much folds 24/7 (advanced mode of course) achieved a points milestone of 100,000! I only got my PS3 on Boxing Day in '07 (26th December), so its achieved 100,000 points in 4 months = 25,000 points/month. Can't complain with that. On the 10th May it also achieved a milestone for Work Units, with over 500 being returned.

I gotta thank Ravenge5, my Canadian team mate as he's been pushing real hard with his PS3, clocking up points just as quick as my unit and he already past his 50,000 point milestone a while ago, sittin up round 70k points now. Good stuff mate.
